Recent problems involving the audit profession have led to tougher laws and regulations. They have also resulted in greater control activities by entities called upon to supervise the accounting profession. The situation described above has given cause for serious reflection about how the profession should be approached. TickMark has faced up to this change of outlook by concentrating on its qualities as an auditor i.e. technical and professional skills (in short the quality of its personnel and the application of methods consistent with the top standards in the profession) while, at the same time, placing particular importance on values like independence, integrity and autonomy of judgment In order to safeguard our high standards of professional independence, TickMark does not provide companies with consultancy services. Moreover, in the interests of the best possible professional relationship with our clients – founded upon the maximum transparency and objectivity - we have separated institutional, technical and operational functions within the firm. Our organisation has also adopted the most rigorous and thorough internal quality control procedures to ensure that the aforementioned concepts are applied during our engagements. Our different approach has proven successful, also thanks to our efforts with regard to our most important assets: organisation and human resources.
